Dr. Alexander Ivey joined Tennessee Valley Urology Center (TVUC) in August 2022 after completing his residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Originally from Pawleys Island, SC, Dr. Ivey brings extensive expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgery to the team.

Expertise

Dr. Ivey has received comprehensive training in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, including HoLEP (holmium laser enucleation of the prostate). His areas of interest include general urology, urologic oncology, BPH, stone disease, and incontinence. He offers advanced urological services, including robotic-assisted surgery, HoLEP, and the UroLift® system. He has taken a special interest in minimally invasive treatment of prostate cancer using HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound).

Personal

Dr. Ivey is a proud husband to his wife, Hutton, and enjoys spending time with their three young children. He is an avid musician and enjoys playing golf in his free time.
